It’s no secret that buying organic, healthy groceries can cost more than conventional. How unfair is it that we feel like we have to choose between our health and our budget? As inflation soars and the cost of groceries continue to rise, I was desperate to find a way to continue eating my clean, organic meals while also staying within my budget.
I was so thrilled when I discovered Thrive Market! Thrive Market is an online grocery store that offers hundreds of clean, organic groceries and home care products at a discounted price. They also have their own brand of groceries that are super affordable and really great quality.

What is Thrive Market?
Thrive Market is a member based online grocery store that offers thousands of natural and organic products ranging from food to cosmetic to cleaning. They have all of the brands you would normally buy at your local health food store at a discounted price!
How does it work?
Thrive Market is membership based so once you sign up, you can start shopping! You can add things to your cart and have them shipped right away or you can schedule deliveries. You can also select to have items added to auto ship, which means you’ll get those items added to your cart each month or however often you want. You also save more when you select auto ship so I highly recommend using this feature. They notify you when a shipment is being prepared and again when your order ships. Shipping is incredibly fast too! I usually have my items within two days of placing my order. You can also search items according to diet and lifestyle which makes shopping a breeze.
What does it cost?
Since Thrive Market is membership based, it requires a membership in order to shop. The yearly membership is $59.95 and the monthly is $12.00 per month. They also offer a savings guarantee which promises if you don’t make your annual membership fee back in savings by the end of your membership year, they will automatically give you the difference in Thrive Market credit after you renew.
For example, if your membership fee was $60, and you only saved $40 in the year, they would automatically add $20 Thrive Cash to your account after you renew so there’s essentially nothing to lose!
What are the benefits?
Thrive Market makes life easy! You can get all of the clean and organic food items that you love without having to make trips to the grocery store and pay full price. The discounts are undeniable. For example, I am a Hu Chocolate junkie and those bars are expensive! On Thrive Market, I can get discounts between $0.50 to $1.00 and sometimes more when they have a sale! I have included screen shots of Thrive Market Hu Chocolate prices versus Whole Foods Hu Chocolate prices so you can see the savings for yourself!
The Thrive brand of products have also become a staple in my home. Their cleaning products are unmatched when it comes to health for body and planet. I love their sea salt potato chips as well so be sure to check out the Thrive brand after you sign up!
What are the potential disadvantages?
The only drawback I have found is that they don’t have produce. I totally understand why since shipping fresh produce in a warm climate can go terribly wrong.
The only other hesitancy I had before I took the plunge and signed up was the membership cost. Paying almost $60.00 membership up front was not something I was interested in. The good news is, Thrive stands by their products/service. They will refund you if you are not happy and as I mentioned above, if you do not end up saving more than your initial membership fee within your first year, you will receive a credit back for the difference when you renew.
Is it a good solution for you?
As you can clearly tell, I love Thrive Market. It truly does help you save money on your favorite products and it’s convenient. If you find yourself making multiple trips to your local health foods store and cringing when the cashier states the total, then please give Thrive Market a try. I was hesitant at first but I am so glad I gave it a chance. I will never go back to my old grocery shopping ways. You also get to choose a free gift up to $24 value when you purchase a membership!
